Dan Norton is entering his tenth season as the director and a head coach in the Mass Ducks AAU basketball organization. Dan has coached thirty two Mass Ducks teams to date. He is currently the girls varsity assistant coach at Milton Academy and the 8th grade Pembroke A team travel coach. Before returning to Milton Academy, he was the girls varsity and head JV coach for Fontbonne Academy for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons. He was the Milton Academy girls JV basketball coach for the 2008-2009 basketball season. He was the manager of the Anna Maria Women's Basketball team for two seasons and has worked at numerous clinics and camps. Dan was in the NBA Basketball Hall of Fame for being the 2002 Knights of Columbus state free throw shooting champion. Dan is a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School where he was a basketball captain and played all twelve athletic seasons of his high school career in basketball, baseball, and cross country. He was given the coaches award in basketball and cross country as a senior.

Dan was the president of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society in 2009 at Anna Maria College where he graduated in the spring of 2009 with degrees in Business Management and Management Information Systems. He graduated with the highest possible academic honor, Summa Cum Laude, in the ninety-ninth percentile of all students at Anna Maria College with a 3.92 GPA.

Dan Beauchemin is entering his sixth season as a head coach in the Mass Ducks organization. Dan has coached eight Mass Ducks teams to date. He also runs our popular Winter Workouts. Dan has over twenty years of coaching experience and has worked with all levels of players, from Division I to elementary school players. During the high school season, he serves as the Assistant Boys Varsity Basketball coach at Milton Academy.  Previously, he was the Girls Varsity Assistant and JV coach at Milton Academy. He has also coached at Boston English High School (Jamaica Plain, MA) and Sandwich High School (Sandwich, MA). He has worked for Five-Star Basketball and other Boston-based AAU groups.

Dan is a graduate of UMass Boston with a degree in History and a minor in Information Systems. At Milton Academy, Dan is the Web Applications Manager, a sometime teacher and serves as a student advisor.

Malcolm Wynn is in entering his third season with the Ducks. For the last ten years, Malcolm has been the head men's basketball coach at Curry College. Malcolm brings over 26 years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate level to the Ducks.

Wynn's coaching resume stretches all the way back to 1984, when he began a 13-year stint as varsity assistant and junior varsity head coach at Brookline (Mass.) High School. In 1994, Wynn also took on the head coaching duties at Roxbury Community College (RCC), and quickly brought himself and the Tigers to national prominence in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Over the course of seven seasons, he compiled a stellar 142-42 (.771) record. Wynn led RCC to the 2000 NJCAA Division III National Championship and was subsequently named as NJCAA National Coach of the Year. One year later, he guided the Tigers to a 31-1 record and third-place finish in the NJCAA National Tournament. Starting in 1996, his teams won four NJCAA State Championships and five NJCAA Region XXI Championships. Wynn was also a four-time recipient of both NJCAA Region XXI and District 8 Coach of the Year honors.

Wynn became the head coach mens basketball coach at Curry College for the 2003-2004 season. In his inaugural campaign in 2003-2004, Wynn led Curry to a 15-12 record, a regular season title in the CCC South Division, and an appearance in the ECAC Division III New England Tournament. At year's end, Wynn's peers selected him as conference "Coach of the Year." Wynn guided his 2007-2008 team to a series of major accomplishments, among them: school-record 11-game winning streak, school-record 18 wins in a season, second-consecutive conference regular-season title, first conference tournament championship since 1986, and first-ever trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament. In 2009-2010, his squad produced a 15-14 overall record, and a 10-3 mark in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC). As the #3 seed in the TCCC Tournament, Wynn's Colonels advanced to their third league tournament finals in four years. Curry was edged 56-54 in the championship game at #1 Gordon. The Colonels went on to participate in the ECAC Division III New England Tournament, falling at Elms College, 77-66, in a quarterfinal match-up.

Malcolm earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Illinois State University in 1978.

Dennis is entering his third season as a head coach in the Mass Ducks organization. He has been a youth basketball coach for 16 years for both girls and boys In Town programs, travel and AAU. His teams have won several championships in both In Town programs and Travel teams. He has been a member of the Hull Pirates Youth Basketball board for the past 15 years, including being the Vice President for 8 years,  as well as the Junior Girls commissioner for the past 14 years.

A statement from Dennis: "As a coach I believe it is my responsibility to get the best out of every player through hard work, individual player skills, team skills and positive reinforcement in order to help develop enthusiastic, positive, responsible and bright young adults through basketball."


Head Coach: Julianna Eagles

Julianna Eagles is entering her seventh season as a head coach in the Mass Ducks organization. Julianna has coached fifteen Mass Ducks teams to date. Julianna is currently the assistant coach for Lesley University. In her playing days, Julianna had some impressive accomplishments. She led the Commonwealth Coast Conference in scoring as a sophomore for Anna Maria College averaging 21 points per game. Also in her sophomore season, she was the sole captain and named the team MVP for Anna Maria. In two years at Anna Maria College she scored 767 points, averaged over 6 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals. In 2008 she set the record for most points scored in a single season at Anna Maria with 520 points. That season, she ranked ninth in the nation in points per game at 20.8 and fourth nationally in three-point field goals per game, averaging 3.2 per game.Julianna was the only Massachusetts resident selected to the CoSida/ESPN The Magazine All District team in 2008. This award is given to college athletes who exceed expectations academically as well as athletically. 
She then relocated to Simmons College for her junior and senior seasons, where she was elected captain both years. She received the Iron Woman Award junior year and Most Outstanding Player Award senior year. Eagles was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Second Team and GNAC All-Tournament Team as a senior in 2009-10. As a senior, she also ranked second in the nation in free throw percentage at 90.4 percent. She is currently the all time leading scorer at Simmons College with 1,438 points scored.
 
Julianna is a graduate of Fontbonne Academy where she played 4 years of varsity basketball and soccer and was a two year captain in both sports. She was named to the Patriot Ledger All Scholastic Basketball team as a junior and senior at Fontbonne.
 
Julianna graduated from Simmons College in 2010 with a degree in Bio-psychology.

Matt is entering his third season as a head coach in the Mass Ducks organization. He is currently entering his seventh season as the assistant varsity and head JV coach at Archbishop Williams High School. In that time, the school has won four South Sectional titles and two State Championships. Matt has been coaching a South Shore based AAU team for the past six years and has won one State Championship during this time. Most recently, before becoming a Ducks coach, Matt coached with the Bay State Magic Elite girls AAU basketball program. He also have been involved as a coach in youth clinics for the past five years. Previously, Matt has been the President of the Holbrook Youth Basketball program. He is currently a certified IAABO referee. To further his coaching background, Matt completed an online coaching course through Drake University.

Matt is a graduate of Don Bosco High School.

 

Lisa Schumacher

This is Lisa Schumacher's first season with the Ducks. She graduated in 2010 from Swarthmore College where she played on the varsity basketball team. While at Swarthmore she helped host basketball clinics for youth and worked at the Nike Hoops summer camp. This past winter, she was the head coach of the Milton Academy JV girls team. She will also be the head coach of the JV girls lacrosse team at Milton Academy this spring. Schumacher graduated from Westover School in Connecticut where she was a four-year varsity basketball player, senior captain, and earned New England Prep School All Star honors three times. She also participated in varsity softball, lacrosse, and cross country. 

Schumacher graduated from Swarthmore with a degree in Chemistry.
