Tom Powers (Tom.massducks@gmail.com):

Tom is entering his 6th season (3^rd year) as a Ducks boys head coach. He, along with Kevin O'Brien and Ducks Director Dan, provides strategic direction to the boys program. He served as head coach for the Somerville 6th grade boys travel basketball program for two years previously. Tom has a strong passion for helping to develop the right values and attitudes in his players both on and off the court. 

Tom is a 2004 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School where he played 2 years of varsity basketball. He attended Boston University where he was a Medeiros Scholar (full academic scholarship) and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration in 2008. He was the top Operations and Technology Management Concentrator in his class.  

Tom is currently a Senior Manager at Avaya in the client services area. He previously served as a Business Analyst in M&A at IBM

Patrick Higdon (Pat.massducks@gmail.com):
- Gold Team Head Coach

Patrick is entering his 3^rd season as a Ducks boys head coach.  Originally from Nashville, TN, he played 3 years of Varsity basketball at Father Ryan High School which included a Tennessee Division II State Championship in the 1998-1999 season and a State runner up finish in the 2000-2001 season.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee in 2005, where he also found time to play pickup games regularly with the University of Tennessee Men's and Women's basketball teams.

After graduate school at New York University, Patrick relocated to Boston to work full time with World Connect, an international development organization based in Waltham, MA. He is currently the Program Manager at World Connect (www.worldconnect-us.org).
